About Us

I am a stroke warrior. In 2022, I suffered a catastrophic stroke which changed my life forever. As a trained and experienced Occupational therapist, I was keenly aware of the impact my condition had on me and the long road of healing and recovery that lay ahead. I have since spent the last three years in rehabilitation, regaining abilities that were affected by my stroke. I continue to make progress but still have a ways to go. Last weekend, I accomplished one of my goals which was to successfully participate in and complete in my first 5k!! My training for this race was long and grueling. Some days I felt discouraged but with perseverance and much needed support from others, I never gave up. This accomplishment is one I am immensly proud of. The odds after brain surgery were against me but I truly believe God had other plans for me and my life. My goals and focus have shifted and I feel strongly now that I was put here to inspire and provide hope for others. As a stroke warrior, I have experienced the powerful healing of God who gives me strength to get through every challenge I face. Even in the hardest times, the evidence of his goodness shines through in my life. I stand resilient, knowing that my faith and determination guide me in my ongoing journey.
